Boom Pump Reach
We have a fleet of modern mobile boom pumps which have arms that reach over obstacles to project sites. These pumps are often used to extend over buildings or into project sites that are high up.
The extendable arm on a boom pump can reach from 16 metres to 32 metres. This arm and the pump can transport concrete both horizontally and vertically, so no area is out of reach.
Boom pumps offer flexibility as their arms are made up of several segments or sections that can be extended individually or in combination, meaning we can move the arm to reach the exact spot where you need your concrete. This also means that boom pumps offer precision too.
Line Pump Reach
Alongside our fleet of boom pumps, we also have several mobile line pumps. These pumps consist of pipes that lie on the ground from the pump to the project site, allowing them to go around or under obstacles.
The average length one of these pumps will reach is around 45 metres. We are also able to add additional pipes to the line pump, meaning that we can easily extend the reach of a mobile line pump as far as you need it to go.
These pumps are suitable where space on the site is limited and offer more versatility and manoeuvrability compared to boom pumps, making them suitable for navigating tight or confined spaces on construction sites.
Combination Reach
As you can see, the boom pump's reach on its own is somewhat limited by the length of the pump's pipes.
However, when combining a boom pump and a line pump, we can reach distances of 500m and further.
The boom pump would allow us to pump the concrete over the obstacles or reach the height of the project, and then ground line pumps would fill the gap between the end of the boom pump and the project site.
Combining the two pump types offers more flexibility as we can create a bespoke solution to get concrete from A to B easily.
