The Process Of Working With 2 Brothers Concrete & Pumping
At 2 Brothers Concrete & Pumping, we are a family-run business providing quality concrete services with a friendly face and a smile. Life is too short not to laugh, but it is also too short to re-do a project because it hasn't been done properly.
This is why our working process is so important. It enables us to understand your concrete project completely and you get the results you want. Here, we explain what it's like to work with us and why we provide great liquid and dry screed, mix-on-site concrete production and concrete pumping services across the South Coast.
With a combined 25 years of experience in the concrete industry, we have perfected our process so that it is hassle-free, confusion-free and done with a smile.
Turnaround Time
We pride ourselves on being able to offer our services with a quick turnaround time, meaning that you aren't hanging around waiting for concrete, screed or a pump.
We will try to be flexible, aiming to meet your desired date. However, this is weather-dependent and capacity-dependent.
Our fleet of volumetric trucks and boom and line pumps means we can offer a quick concrete production service, as we can mix the concrete design on-site and pump it to your project site easily and efficiently, reducing manual labour and time.
There are a few things that will impact our turnaround time that you should bear in mind when ordering with us:
- Project size
- Project complexity
- Availability of materials
- Other projects already scheduled in
While concrete is our industry, customer service is at the heart of everything we do. We strive to deliver fantastic concrete results and give each of our customers a five-star experience, because we take enormous pride in helping homeowners and businesses complete their concrete projects. We're all about doing things with a smile and going the extra mile. With this in mind, we will always try to be as accommodating as possible.
Placing an Order
When placing an order with us, whether for concrete production, concrete pumping or screed, we recommend that you try to order in advance.
This will increase the chances that we will be available on the date you need us and allow us time to complete any site surveys necessary for efficiency, ensuring the correct solution is delivered. We find this especially important for large-scale projects.
However, we will always try to accommodate urgent requests and last-minute changes, so if you find yourself in a pickle and need something changing on your order or need to make a last-minute order, we will work with you to come up with a solution, trying to minimise any delays that this might cause and keeping it stress-free for you.
What Do You Need To Know When Booking?
Whether you phone us or complete our online form, there are a number of things we will need to know about your project and what you need from us to quote and book the order.
- Services needed - this one might seem obvious, but as we offer several services, you must let us know which ones you need so that we can quote you for the right ones.
- Project information - we need to know what the project is, the size of the project and any other relevant details.
- Concrete design mix - if you are ordering concrete production, we will need to know what concrete design mix you need (if you know) and how much you will require. If you aren't sure which mix you need, we can help work this out. Additionally, we have a helpful blog to help you figure out how much concrete you need.
- Site accessibility - we need to get an idea of the site and surroundings. Specifically, we need to know if obstacles might impact the services provided. We will usually complete a site survey on top of receiving this information to tailor our service to your site, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
Don't forget, we are always at the end of the phone, so if you are unsure about some of this information, we can help you work it out. Just give us a call.
What to Expect on the Day of Concrete Mixing and Pumping
We have a set process for delivering our services so you can know what to expect on delivery day.
When booking your order, we will arrange a time to arrive as this allows you to be as prepared as possible and ensures minimal waiting around on your and our end.
Our team understands that a project site can be busy and tight for space, so we will aim to arrive bang on this time. If we are running a little late - sometimes traffic can catch us out - we will try to contact you to let you know our ETA.
Once we are on your site, our operators will go through a few setup processes to ensure the volumetric drum and/or pump are safe and steady for use. These processes include stabilising the trucks and extending pump arms.
If we are providing concrete production, we will confirm the concrete design mix with you before starting to mix the ingredients.
This will allow us to make the exact amount of concrete you need freshly, meaning it will be workable, and you won't have any excess material to dispose of.
If using our concrete pumping service, we will pour the concrete into the pump (either from our mix-on-site truck or where you have produced the material). Our operators will then control the pump to transfer the concrete from the truck to your project site.
Our operators are experts at using our equipment, meaning we will be precise in the placement of the concrete. Using a concrete pump from us offers a smooth process, reducing manual labour and time.
