Project Overview
2 Brothers Concrete & Pumping was hired to deliver and pump high-grade waterproof concrete for a project at HM Naval Base Portsmouth, Hampshire. Working at a high-security and historically significant sit, our client required a reliable concrete pumping team capable of working efficiently within tight timeframes and restricted access areas.
The project involved delivering and pumping the specialised material to form a concrete slab base and walls for three new lift shafts. The job was part of ongoing site improvements. The lift shafts required durable, waterproof concrete to ensure long-term performance in a marine environment.

What We Did
Our team made two separate visits to complete the works:
First Visit – Concrete Slabs
On the first visit, we delivered and pumped the high-grade waterproof concrete to form the base slabs for the lift shafts. Our experienced pump operator and two linesmen set up a 90-metre pipeline, ensuring a smooth and consistent pour despite the naval base’s access restrictions.
Second Visit – Lift Shaft Walls
The second visit focused on pouring and forming the lift shaft walls. Again, we delivered the concrete, maintaining precision throughout to achieve a seamless and watertight finish.
To support the operation, our team used a transit van to transport extra hoses, couplings, and pumping equipment, ensuring full flexibility on the secure naval base in Portsmouth, Hampshire. Each visit took half a day, with the entire project completed in just one working day from start to finish.

The client shared that they were impressed with how well-organised and friendly the crew were on site. They appreciated our clear communication, attention to detail, and the tidy, efficient setup from start to finish. The finished concrete slab and walls for the three lift shafts were done to the highest standard, resulting in an accurate, waterproof foundation designed for durable, long-term structural performance.
This project at the secure military site further cements 2 Brothers Concrete & Pumping’s reputation for reliability, helpfulness, and industry expertise.
