In early 2018 2 Brothers Concrete were asked to be involved in a concrete pumping project for one of the South's most prestigious venues, the Rose Bowl in Southampton. The work arrived via one of our regular sources, C&B Construction and Building who operate throughout the South. The project was to pour concrete to form a huge base for a brand new massive Samsung screen to show spectators replays of action and score updates to the side of the playing surface but behind the spectator seating. The difficulty of the task was that the concrete lorries could not approach the area directly due to a weight restriction on a bridge approaching the spectator areas.
Work actually commenced in April 2018 and 2 Brothers provided both a concrete boom and static pipeline to pump the required concrete into place within a huge steel reinforced slab. This was all performed in one day as per the tight schedule laid down for the works. In all 2 Brothers pumped 73 cubic metres of C35 concrete into the structure base.
